A winter walk …
Amazing black fungus growing on a fallen dead oak branch alongside lichen.
Oak curtain bracket fungus (Hymenochaete rubiginosa) growing on a rotting oak tree stump.
The large patch of Dutch Rush (Equisetum hyemale) near Petch Bridge.
There was often moss growing up the base of tree trunks, but only so far up – presumably at a certain point it isn’t damp enough?
