I found my first Ramsons flower in the wood on 1st April.
The unusual moss [technically a liverwort – probably Lesser Featherwort (Plagiochila porelloides)] was growing in a large clump on a fallen tree alongside the Wood sorrel.
The Toothwort (Lathraea squamaria) was growing beside the steps down to Petch Bridge, a parasitic plant associated with the Hazel tree roots.
