Evidence of animals in the woods

Teapot above a rather nibbled looking fungus (not sure which species)

Bird skull (beak facing right) with some feathers still attached – possibly an owl?


Grey Squirrels usually split a hazel nut in half as here, but dormice will nibble a hole in one end…Kate was looking for dormice.
