Saltburn Gill

Season:
Woodland:

Spring woodland wildflowers.

An unusual double-spathed Lords-and-Ladies…not quite sure why that’s happened but it was interesting to see.

Goldilocks Buttercup

A flower spike of Wood-sedge (Carex sylvatica). It’s small and you are not likely to notice it unless you know what to look for.

Early-purple Orchid (Orchis mascula) can’t be seen from the path in Saltburn Gill, but we got permission to and check it was still there and it was, tucked amongst the Dog’s-mercury and the odd Bluebell.
